We went to INS callas office at 3:00am, and there were about 25 people ahead of us. It was cold and raining. By 6:30am, there were more than 300 people in line. For the first waiting row, it was spacious, and many brought their own chairs (you don\'t have to stay with your chair until 6:00am).
INS opened at 6:30am, and each person has to be inspected to get into the building. It was a very slow process, and the line was packed tightly (not comfortable).
We got our tickets, and were in group C. The passport stamping was surprisely quick, and we were out of the building at 7:10am.
My recommendation is to get to INS by 4:00am, and finish your business by 7:30am. Bring your own chair. The early morning waiting is relaxing, and you don\'t even have to stay with your chair until 6:00am. After 6:00am, the waiting is not comfortable at all in the line, and it takes long time to get into the building.
Good luck.
