Got to SF at 12pm.
Couldn\'t find any parking except for a parking lot across the street which charges $5/20 minutes!! Luckily the maximum they charge is $29 dollars. There\'s a good photo place right across the street (LeeTones) where you can get photos done in about 10 minutes.

Note: Make sure to enter at the side entrance (I believe its the one on Sansom Street), not the main entrance or else you will have to queue up with everyone waiting for everything else rather than being able to go directly upstairs. If asked mention that you have an appointment and they will let you through. Luckily I wasn\'t asked and they just waved me through.

Went upstairs to room 200 and put our 485 notices in a slot in the door. Waited, and waited, and waited... Noticed that they don\'t take all the notices at once, but rather take one at a time. So if, as in my case, other people drop their notices in after you, they may get called before you. Noticed many people coming in much later than me and getting their passports stamped while I waited. Got a bit worried so went up to the desk and asked an officer who replied that he was the only one working there and just be patient. Finally after two hours we were called to bring our passport to the desk. Officer took our I94\'s, I94 arrival/departure records, EAD cards and when he noticed that I also had my AP papers with me he took them as well. I didnt bring any W2\'s or tax returns and they weren\'t asked for. Waited another half hour and officer returned our passports with a stamp. Was told that actual green cards are now taking 8 months to receive.

Just a note that noon seems to be a real bad time to go. I would recommend going either earlier in the day or closer to 2pm. After 2pm they don\'t let anybody else in and the place got noticeably emptier.
