Just in case it may be useful to someone, a CSC person, but stamping in Newark NJ :)
AD 6/7/04, got Approval notice from the lawyer 6/13/04

Tues 6/14/04 . Went to Newark NJ office on Broad St. Arrived at 10.00am, went straight onto the 3rd floor, told to go outside and queue for the limited supply of tickets. Joined the queue across the street, was inside the building by 10.50am. Joined first queue on 3rd floor, lady looked at our notices, which were for SF and asked where we were living. We said NJ, and handed over our DL to her. She took our index finger print and our signatures on form I-551- gave us a number of C033, and told us to wait till it was called.

At that point they were serving C024 in our series. At 11.40am the display board showed our number. We went up, she looked at our approval notices, then got us to write our addresses on them, crossing out the lawyers address. She transcribed the addresses onto form I-551, took our photos, I-94, EADs and APs. She then stamped a very ordinary looking stamp in the passport and wished us all the best. She said cards were taking 6-12 mths.

We were out into the sunshine before 12 noon :)

Thanks for sharing. Is it really true that "cards were taking 6-12 months?"

You know,

dont know really, but from the experiences around these boards, many of them seem to be an awful lot speedier than that . Maybe they just tell you that so you dont get your hopes up????

Very same experience here

Hi All,

Went to USCIS, Newark NJ for PP stamping today.

Same experience as 'toonarmy' had but only difference, no queue. The whole
process took about an hour and half.
