Passport Stamping CSC I485 now in Nebraska

Hi all,

My (and my wife's) I485 is approved. Details at the bottom.
Thanks everyone for the support.

Our case was filed and processed in CSC. We have just recently
moved out to Nebraska center. We got the approval notice thru
the attorney's office after we moved to new state / address. We
did not get it from USCIS directly even though we had updated
the address at CIS over phone 9 days before the approval date.

Now, questions.

1. Can we go to any (local) CIS office for passport stamping?

2. Do we need to take appointment? I tried INFOPASS and did
schedule one for myself. It would not allow me to schedule
another one for my wife - Do we really need separate appts?

3. What documents should we carry? Approval notice tells
us to bring I-94/Arrival-Departure records, passport, photos
and the approval notice.

4. Do they take all EAD/AP etc back?

Please respond ASAP since my scheduled appointment is for tommorrow
and I would like to use it, if possible.

Thanks and regards,
SVengat

Hi Svengat:

Congratulation for your GC approval. Hope you are enjoying your freedom. Here are my suggestions:

1. Try to get your passport stamping at CSC. That way you will not have any problems.

2. One appointment is enough for the whole family. No need to take separate appointments.

3. I-485 Original approval notice either your courtsey copy or lawyer copy is ok, 2 photos of each family member (newer version), passport, infopass appointment letter.

4. Yes, they will take all your EAD's and AP's back.

Good Luck and wish you all the best. It's easy and no problems anymore. Even if you change the address to your new location, INS may still send your card to your old address. Well, everyone knows how INS works.

It's up to you to decide........

Sorry I forgot the I-94. You have take this too.

Also my situation is also the same. I filed my GC from CSC and moved to Florida after that. I got my approvals when I am in FL. But I did my passport stamping at LA and made sure that they will be sending my CARD to my lawyer's address. I am still consulting and may move from FL too. So giving my Lawyer's address was my best option. He can post it to my new address.
