After stamping our passports, the officer told us that we can show the stamp as proof of employment authorization. We were not returned our EAD and I-94.
Is this the general practice? I heard from someone that EAD is returned.
Also what is the process of travelling abroad BEFORE receiving the plastic card? Can I just travel using the passport stamping or do I need to file and carry additional documentation?
