passport stamped

Posting the last message here. My passport was stamped on Monday, May 13. If you have EAD and AP, the officer will insist on taking them back before stamping the passport. Also, it is not guaranteed that the courtesy copy of the approval will work. I carried the attorney\'s copy but one of my friend tried to offer the courtesy copy - the officer did not accept it.

Try to be there before the office opens. It can get very slow as time progresses. I was out in 50 minutes.

Whoever go for stamping from today onwards, is a little bit unlucky as INS is not stamping the same day.This is the experience of some of the guys who went for stamping today in Newark.Very unfortunate to hear that news.When called IIOs, the answer is also the same that INS started a new security check.So whoever go for stamping,they will loose their EAD and AP(thrown into garbage can) and a photocopy of approval notice will be taken and sent out.Later god knows whether the cards will come directly without stamping or INS will call them on a particular day for stamping or not.

May be iNS want to eliminate the stamping process and issue the card very fast or whatever.No one knows.IIOs also are not clear about the stupid laws.
