Passport Stamped

I had my passport stamped today. My lawyer received the approval notice yesterday. My details are: ID 5/99, ND 6/99, FL 4/00. No RE. regular EB2.

Took a total of 43 months. It has been an agonizing and suffering wait. My lawyer is useless: when I first started this AC process, he promised me 18 months to get it over with. But it more than doubled it. Just last week, when I called him to check for any news on my case, he said it would take 3 to 4 months. I almost laughed cause so many April approval have been posted in the chat board. I ignored him and hoped for the best. Fortunately, I only had to suffer for a short week. Now the case is finally closed.

Passport Stamped.
After a marathon 4 years and 5 months wait , I and my wife
got our passports stamped today at local INS office. Once again
here are my details.

EB3 INDIA
PD 26 MAR 1996
RD 10 MAY 1999
ND 04 JUN 1999
2nd EAD approved 08-MAR-2000
FP taken 13-APR-2000
FP cleared 24-APR-2000
I-485 Approved on 21-JUL-2000
Notice recevied from attorney - 28-JUL-2000
Courtesy copy received from INS - 29-JUL-2000
Date of passport stamped - 02-AUG-2000

What happens to the approval notices ? do they keep them or they return them to you ? Would Courtsey copy be enough for stamping ?
