Passport Stamped

Hi,

My wife and I completed our stamping today at Newark, New Jersey. The whole process took about 90 minutes. The officer took our approval notices and collected our EADs/APs and pictures and stamped our passports. And finally the officer congratulated for getting Permanent Residency and said we should be getting our Green Cards in the next six months and for any reasons, if we don't receive the green card within the eleven months, she asked us to come back and get our passports stamped again.

The security announced folks without Infopass appointment to come out of the line and ask them to form a separate line, for them, one counter opened for giving tokens (what I heard was, this will happen only first thing in the morning).

That is all my experience guys and now I have to wait for Plastic Card.

Will update you as soon as I hear something.

JacksonvilleFL,
Congrats! I have the passport stamping appointment on end of Jan, thanks for your information here.
One more question: After the stamping (not yet get the plastic card), can we go out of U.S without problem?

Hai

there has been some discussions about that. Some countries dont approve of the stamp and hence require u to get a transit visa. If u knwo the airline /country u will use for transit , u can go to their consulate web site and they provide info. U could also contact the airline and in most cases the travel agent too has info.

Cheers

Tanjar,
Thanks for your reply. I'm gonna check with travel agent or airline to confirm this.
