I went down to Charlotte, NC this morning and got my paasport stamped.
Left Raleigh 5:00am this morning and I arrived at immigration around 7:05am. By the way INS have moved from Woodlawn to a new place called 6130 Tyvola Center. Believe me this new place is much better than the woodlawn old site. They have eight windows now as against the three they had before. The waiting area where you wait before they called your number, is bigger.
I was number 21 and was called to the third window, I gave my courtesy approval notice to the guy, he asked for my EAD, passport pictures, AP and my passport. He completed a form and asked me to sign and finger print, after that process he told me they would have to do a background security check before I would be done. The background check took almost 15 mins and when it was finished, he called me and handed my passport with the I-551 stamp on it. He said congratulations and that my plastic card would come in the mail in approximately 6 months.
The whole process was simple and no problem at all. I so much enjoyed this forum, it gave me hope and patience. One thing I would say is be patience and pray all the time. Cheers everybody.
