For those interested:
Yesterday I received a courtesy copy of my recent I-485 approval (dated 6/9/03). I had my passport stamped today in SF. Didn't want to wait to get the offcial copy from my lawyer, as I wanted to lose no time - my passport expires on 8/7/03. The stamp is valid through that date. The officer said - hope the card will arrive by then, if not come with a new passport.
Anybdy has any idea how much time it takes to get a card in the mail?
By the way, even though the notice says 630 Sansome 8am - 2pm, the stamping is actually done round the corner, at 444 Washington at their regular working hours and one has to stand in the general line. I just thought it might save somebody some time to know that.
