Got our passports stamped today at NYC. Reached at 8.00 am, there was no line at the Worth St entrance and we got in immediately after security check. Went upto 3rd floor for stamping.
Had a shock when they refused to accept our Courtesy copy and insisted on Attorney's copy. Luckily. our attorney had insisted on sending someone to assist with our stamping despite our reluctance. This person came at 8.30 and when she handed the attorney's copy to another clerk this time, they now wanted the Courtesy copy. Quite ridiculous actually, which cost us 30 minutes of prime time.
After this we were called at 9.15 to hand over I-94's., EAD's and pictures. After signing the form and being fingerprinted we had to wait for another 30 mins before they returned us the stamped passports. Had to listen to the usual blah-blah and the bullshit about physical card coming to us in 6-9 months.
Came out at 9.45, went up to 31st floor to SS office and applied for clean SS cards. Took 10 minutes.
