Hi Guys;
Today I got my passport stamped in the SFO INS office
-reached the INS office at around 9:00 am. ( took bart from east bay as it is very convinient to walk from bart station to INS office )
-make sure you have a picture ID in US otherwise the security officer at the metal detector will not let you come in the building.
-went to room 200B
-put the approval notices in the drop slot
-make sure that you sit on the chair from which you can see counter 19 as that is where the person will call you to get your documents, finger print and signature. Documents asked were courtsy copy of 1485 approval ( I actually gave him the original, but he gave it back to me and just took the courtsy copy ), passport, photos, EAD/AP and I94
-filled in the form and waited for about 45 min.
-The officer gave me the stamped passport and told me that the actual card should come in about 3-6 months.
Thanks a lot guys because I got a lot of support and information from this site. CIBA please update my info and put my passport stamping experience if you think its worth it..
