Hi All: My wife and me, got our passports stamped in Des Moines, IA this morning. No problems what so ever. Reached there at 7:45 AM, plenty of metered parking around. There were 8 people ahead of us. It took about 35 minutes for our turn to come. If you have all your documentation ready, it is a breeze of a process. She (IIO) asked for the documents in the following order:
1. Approval notice (Original or courtesy, both are accepted)
2. Passports.
3. EAD cards.
4. Advance Parole documents if any.
5. Photographs.
She immediately took our finger prints and signatures. Made us wait for 5 minutes and gave the passports back. We were out of there at 8:35 AM.
Just to add, the AVM has still not been updated. Last I checked was yesterday evening. I guess this is good enough to prove how trust worthy the AVM really is.
