Stamped our Passports today at San Jose INS. Pretty fast and straightforward.
Went in there at 7:00 AM and out at 8:30 AM. Saw a big line outside. But reading others experiences went straight to the appointment line.
The guard gave us the usual "You do not have appointment but letting you in this time " stuff and let us in. (As if we were going to come there again !). Anyway , god bless the guard as we were the first one to get the D series number for stamping.
After about a wait of 1 hr our number was displayed. The counter lady filled out the forms ,took our passport, fingerprint ,I 94's and EAD cards and asked us to wait for 15 minutes. She called us after about 10 minutes and handed us our stamped passports. Said we should receive our cards in about 6 months. Nice lady, god bless her too and all of you guys who are still waiting for 485.
