Hi, was wondering if someone can tell me if they know if you have to bring your current passport with you to the Oath Ceremony. I've recently done the test, & need to send my passport away for renewal as it expires later this year.... so, I'm trying to decide whether to send it now or wait until after the Oath if I'm gonna need it for that. Thanks!

NO, You do NOT need your passport for the Oath Ceremony. You do need some kind of Identification . A driver's license would do just fine

Or the PR card for ID?
They had asked me and my family for our passport and they looked at our passport carefully (this is to see whether we are still in status/not acquired the PR of any other country, especially the U.S.)
So I would say, get your ppt at the time of your oath. Your oath invitation letter also clearly states this requirement (at least ours did)

I called the call centre, the person on the phone said that a passport is required for the oath ceremony. My current passport expires in Oct., so I should be OK to wait for the Oath & apply for a new one afterwards. BTW, my test was on Feb 6th in Windsor.

What time did you write the test? I wrote mine at 1.30 pm on Feb 6 in Windsor !!
From your posts, I am assuming you are still waiting for the notice to appear for the oath or do you have the date for the oath?
Also, regarding passport renewal, you can drive over to Toronto (if that's your jurisdiction) Indian high commission and get it renewed in person in 2 days or 1 day if you can provide a good reason for urgency (for extra fee of course). My wife got hers the same afternoon.
