Passport related

Hi Freinds,

I got my 485 approved, I had question related to passport. My passport was expired in oct 2002 and I got new passport form Indian consulte in new york with a diff number.Because Indian consulate always issues new passport when old passport expires with new number

Is that a issue during stamiping

The answer is no.

All they(ins) need is a valid passport for stamping.

New passport is not a issue in GC stamping. BCIS will stamp the GC in your valid passport (the new one). But, ensure that you carry both the passports, whereever you go.
