Passport Question

I received my US passport this morning (real quick, got the passport processed in 2 days with expedited service). When you sign the passport, do you have sign just like you did in the Naturalization certificate (first name, last name expanded) or your normal everyday signature?

Interview: August 5, 2004
Oath: October 22, 2004

How did you get your passport before oath?? :D

I think you should sign exactly the same you did it on your Certificate of Naturlization.
 
I signed my Cert of Natz differently than every other document I ever sign. To follow precedent I signed my passport the way I usually sign (i.e not exactly like Cert of Natz).

I honestly doubt if it will ever matter though...
 
You attach your Cert. of Naturlization when you apply for passport. You do not send driver license therefore it is good to match the signatures on both the documents.
However it does not matter if you don't sign the same. I have seen somewhere where they show full signature on the passport. Its your choice! :)

You can sign your usual signature. However the recommendation is to sign your full name shown on your passport.

I called the passport agency and they said that I should just use my normal signature, which is what I did. As with most of you, my signature on my passport is different from my normal signature.
 
At my Oath I was TOLD NOT to sign my Naturalization Certificate but to specifically WRITE my first name and last name one after another in my regular handwriting.

I asked my lawyer about my passport (yes I know, overkill) and he said to SIGN it as I normally would (I usually overlap my first and last name when I sign) and not worry about matching the Naturalization Certificate.
