Passport question n400

Guys i applied for my n400 and i do not have my passport as i lost it three yrs ago and never try to file a report .can i take my re entry permits with me .is there anybody who has done n400 interview without passport anyway i have copies of my passport which was also expired .please share your experience.

Why didnt to get a police report? You can take your rentry permit but they will ask you for a passport. Its different if you never renewed your passport.

Also, please understand that the USCIs knows if you went to your COP so try not to hide that.
 
Thanks for your reply I never went out of country after I got my green card
I traveled before I got my green card as u said I will never hide anything
and try to get police report

Dear Wantmygcnow:

I lost my passport and got a police report in the same day in 2006. Also, I put an AD in a newspaper in the same month.
I never go out USA after I got GC.

I have a passport copy at my hand.


Can above OK for me to apply US citizenship? And tell them exact above.

i do not mean to make you worried, but you may not get a decision immediately after the interview, the officer may need to review your travel record, you may get a decision by mail

but this depends on the officer who interview you, some officers don not care
some officers are really strick

myself i got a decision by mail one week after the interview because the officer wanted to review my travel record

just be prepared and good luck to both of you
