I took mine in Walgreens. It will be expensive though. It cost me 24 for 6 snaps. Its good quality and they give pictures in 1/2 hr.

FedEx Kinko... across US. They took it and printed while you are there.

My bet would be to take them in Sears Portrait Studio, they have excellent lighting because they use external lighting. It seems more professional there.
Other places like costco use flash and only flash is not good enough for decent pictures.

Don't look for money when you have already spent thousands of dollars on GC process, few more dollars shouldn't prevent you from going to a decent studio.

you can go to the nearest AAA location and get passport photos at a discounted price(I got mine there). even if not a AAA member, it might still be cheaper than at other places.

If you have color printer, print it at home, 4 of my frnds did the same including me, no problems at all, it has to be 2"x2", you can find the specs at uscis website. I even got EAD and AP with them. no cost at all.

Went to Sears last evening.
They have sheets of 4 for $14.99.
I need 6 per person, so I need 2 sheets, that is $30/person +tax.
Checked Walmart. They have sheets of 2 for around $8, so I need 3 of them, which would be $24 + tax. I'll end up going to Sears I think. It's a couiple of blocks from where I live.
No Kinko around here. When in live in NE there seemed to be one at each corner. No Walgreens either. I miss those.
Thanks to each of you who took the time to respond.

You can use your digital camera and take the digital image per USCIS/forum guidelines (SD card, USB etc.) to Sam's club or like. Sam's club has a (Kodak or Fuji) printer where you can plug in the digital image and they have an option to print passport photos (option is some thing like "Other formats"). It prints 6 per sheet and cosst 27cents and so conveniient....I recently did this and my lawyers were Ok with it.

I did all mine in CVS pharmacy photo center, 6 copies per sheet $7.99. If you need additional sheet it is only a 1$ extra.
