Passport Name

We recently applied for a new passport @ SFO consulate,in
the new passport First & Last name got reversed for some
reason..

Is this is ok to travel and to get stamped and also what is
the procedure in getting it corrected . I have left many
voice mails at the consulate ,but still no response.
