Passport Interview Issue

One of the ordinary issue that people face during the passport interview is not having fluency in English. Now if you are not fluent in English, you can bring someone with you to your passport interview to interpret for you. This could be a family member or friend. The Australian Passport Information Service (APIS) can also arrange an interpreter for your interview through the Translating and Interpreting Service at no cost.
The passport interviewer will ask for your permission before hearing from your interpreter. Once you have given permission, the interviewer will keep on asking the questions and explain the process.
Please note that you will need to notify APIS for an interpreter beforehand, giving as much notice as possible.
