I have plan to travel outside USA , but my passport & greencard middle names are written differently due to each country laws . Has anyone here experience travelling outside US and re-enter US without any problem? . Thanks.

halunka:

My first name is shortened as an initial in my green card (for eg, John Smith is the name in the passport and my GC has J Smith). I traveled outside
the country and entered into the US with no problems.

In fact, I asked the immigration Officer about the goof up in my GC and he said he wouldn't worry too much if the name is screwed up in the GC.

Well, I am going to get it corrected in the next few months or so. Which I think you should do it as well.

My point is, you shouldn't have ANY problems traveling in & out of the US.

Good luck
