pASSPORT FORM QUESTION

I filled the passport application form online and printed it. I filled out all the required fields. However, in the instructions, there is this cryptic message:

"In addition to generating a completed application form, this website also generates a barcode that is placed at the top of the generated passport application form that contains the information gathered from the web page. This barcode is later used to easily read in and process the information on your application. In order for the barcode to be generated correctly, all required fields must be completed at the time the form is submitted for creation."

The only barcode I see is on the right margin of the first page. There is a hachured area on the left margin. I don't have a barcode at the top of the page.

Anybody have any ideas?

Why don't you download a blank DS-11 form and fill out the
information manually.

Filling it online is not going to expediate your application anyway..

Maybe, maybe not, but it does reduce the chance of them making a typo when re-entering the data. The spaces on the form are rather small for some entries, so I would have to use rather tiny handwriting...
