Passport expiry while waiting for 485 approval

Need help,

My daughter's passport(Indian) will expire in 02/06, our 485 has been filed on 12/28/04 and notice date is 01/17/05 and it's waiting for approval.

Can some one pls advice what should I do ?

no big deal. If you can renew get it renewed. But I guess it's not possible otherwise you will not be that concern. If her passport expired before you I-485 approval, it's not that important in the eyes of CIS. They simply just don't stamp on it. As I read some posts here, nowadays CIS tend to not stamp the passport any more, but instead they just order the plastic GC for you and your daughther, so whether your passport expires or not won't affect your GC process. The only drawback is your daughter can't travel abroad, unless you can get some sort of traveling document from your Indian consulate in US.
 
Thanks Buzzhd, I am applying for a renewal of her passport but I think Indian Consulate will give a new passport for her and I am worried that Passport # will change, do I have to inform CIS about new passport ?

I already have AP approved for her .

no, you don't have to . They don't care about what passport # you have and whether it expires or not.
