Long time reader, first time posting. I have an emergency back home and need to travel to India, my current passport expires July 2006 and my H1B expires January 2007. I got an appointment at Vancouver on Oct 31 for H1B visa stamping . The documents sent by the consulate mentions that the passport should be valid for 6 months after the H1B expiry. Does anyone have similar experience. Any help is appreciated.
