Passport expiring in 4 months, GC stamping, issues?

My passport is expiring on by end of Aug 2005. I am going for our GC stamping (first time) on 15th April at Dallas office.

Gurus, please let me know if this is going to be an issue? Anyone done stamping at Dallas, found any other problems?
 
you don't even need a passport for the temp-GC (i551) stamp any more. USCIS gives you a choice: you could either get the stamp on the passport itself, in which case your passport should have >= 6mo validity; or they also offer the stamp on a blank i94 card, which is independent of your passport status. you need to carry an additional photograph if you want the stamp on the card.

FYI - we opted for the card. although it looks pretty dinky, both my wife and i travelled internationally on it without any problems before our plastic cards arrived.
