My passport expires in 2004, but my L2 is valid till 2006.

Can I travel with the old passport attached to my new one so that I don't need to reapply for a visa?

Does anyone have experience traveling with a visa in their expired passport?

I have travelled to India with valid visa in old Indian passport along with new Indian passport attached without any visa.

I did not encounter any problems.

Your visa is valid when you renew your passport. But as you said, you should carry your old passport whenever the showing the visa is required. If you send your old passport by mail for renewal, make sure you keep the copies of your old passport, just in case.

There should not be any problem. I used few years back.
Always carry the old passport and show them both new and old passports. Notorizing the important pages is also good idea .
Thanks

How do you notarize? Which pages?

Do I need to photocopy the first 2 pages and get it notarized? Please explain

Better notarize all the pages that are not empty. To answer your question, yes.

Yes I did same thing.

Got copies of all the pages of Passport and
Got notorized pages which are not empty.

Dont Worry about any thing....
