Passport Change...

Hi,

I received my GC a couple of years' back. My Indian passport will expire in a couple of months (after 10 years and hance, cannot be renewed).

So, i have applied for a fresh passport.

My question is: Do i have to notify INS of my new passport once i receive it ?

I am not sure if a GC is tied to a specific passport .

No there is no need to inform INS about your new passport...just that if you have not received the physical green card yet then will need to carry your expired passport since that will have your stamp!

Make sure if you dont have the physical gc to inform indian consulate office not to cancel the stamp in the expiring passport.

If you have the cards then there is no need to worry!
