passport application

both myself and my wife are planning to apply for a US passport after getting naturalized. Can the passport applications be sent in the same envelope OR do they have to be sent in different envelopes?

Since you will be applying for the first time you will either need to go to a passport agancy or a Post Office. In either case the agent will tell you if that is possible. When you call to schedule the oppointment you can also ask that question.
 
In the run up to our first oath ceremony (my wife's) I just went to both of the local post offices and asked what their local procedures were.
