Passport application for child

I have a minor child from a previous marriage. About 4 months into the marriage, I found out about his affairs and walked out while pregnant. Many years later, I needed a marriage certificate issued by the National Census Office to update my passport but was unable to get one. What I received was a certification that the marriage did not exist. I went to the city hall where the marriage took place, but they did not have a record of it as well. They also issued an official document that an inquiry was made but there was no proof that the wedding took place.

I thought that all that was behind me. I have disclosed everything in my AOS and removal of conditions. It wasn't even brought up during the interview. It suddenly occured to me today that if and when I get naturalized, I will have to apply for my child's passport with my naturalization certificate and her birth certificate, which has her father's name and the date of the supposed wedding. Will that be a problem for us? Do I need his permission to get a US passport for our child? I'm afraid he will not be very cooperative with that :(

i know it's kind of a messy situation and not very common, but any input will be appreciated.
