passpord change and AOS

Hi All,

My passpord, which does not have my second last name added from my mariage, expires in Dec 2008. I am filing my AOS with this current passpord. I plan to change my passpord soon and have my two last names on it (as on AOS application forms, in my driving license, my national ID card, social security card, not my DS-2019 yet).

Does changing my passpord later create a problem? I do not want to delay filing my AOS until I change my passpord. However, if it is going to be a problem, I should wait to file my AOS until I renew my passpord?

NO, this has been discuss before...search about "change name", etc. When you travel and if your AP or green card states your married name, then carry a copy of your marriage certificate...I did that for a period of time and they never even ask for the copy of marriage certificate. It's normal that you won't have things with your married name before you marry or months or even years and actually you don't have to change it. It's a personal call.

Good luck
