Is anybody familiar with this. My passport has expired and the new one will be ready in about 2 months. Our case got approved. If I go for I551 stamp and they stamp on a I94 card will they stamp my new passport in two months again. Should I wait for the new passport and than go for stamping? Will they initiate the card issuing process if I do not go for stamping? Some folks say that local office fills the I89 form (request for card) and send it to service center with your file after you go for stamping. Is this true?
