Passive income question

I am currently on H1. Is this okay with me to do some kind of passive income (profit/loss) through stock trading.
If I file for tax and show this income will it effect my green card process adversely. Answers from any gurus including Jim would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

stock. investments are not employment income... so dont worry

There are many h1 guys who get investment income. For GC this should not be a problem at all.. because it is not income from employment
