My dad passed the interview two days ago, but when I check his N400 status it still says "Testing and Interview". Shouldnt the status have changed "Decision"?

Don't worry about the online status. I got naturalized last year and my status is still "Testing and Interviewing"

If you have a straight-forward case, USCIS does not care much about your online status once you are approved. Did they tell your dad that he is recommended for approval? If yes, he will receive his oath letter some time soon.

In my case, it directly went to 'Oath Ceremony' from 'Testing and Interview'. If your dad is waiting for oath scheduling, most likely, same would happen to his status as well. unless decision is pending.

Good Luck!

Sounds good then.

But officer told him that he passed the interview and that he will do the oath in 2-4 weeks.

My interview and approval was on 12/15/2012, my online status changed directly to Oath Ceremony on 1/5/2012, and been waiting on oath letter since.
There is no way to tell when/how/why it will change and if it will even change. Being patient is the best thing on these cases....

Same was the case with me. I passed interview and few days later, they changed the status to 'Oath Ceremony' directly.

Don't worry, if he was told he's been approved then he'll receive an oath letter soon. The online status isn't always accurate.
