Passed AOS interview but no stamp or anything ?!

Hi,

We passed the interview today. No BC was required during the interview. The officer is nice and congratulate us for passing GC interview. She said the plastic GC should be mailed to us within 2 weeks. I asked if she can give my wife a temporay one and she insisted that it is no need because the real one is coming soon. We were very happy. But after we went out the building, I found that she did not stamp or give approval letter to us. She took the appointment letter and I-94. I become a little bit worried again. I have my fingers crossed to wish everything is going fine. Is there any similiar experience/case like this?

Thanks.

You're fine. I think that how it suppose to go. My experience is the same, got approved then the Immigration Officer took my I94 and appointment letter. Then I got my GC in 1 week.

In cases where they approve the case and there is no review they take the EAD card so as to prevent fraud as people sell them to other people. So if your case is all set to go and no supervisor review is needed they do this.

Yes, They took EAD, I-94 and our appointment letter. I did ask the officer if everything is ok, name check, fingerprint..... She said yes, everything went through and there is no need for a temporary card....

The case status was updated by USCIS today:
