I have been working as a software engineer for a company on a full-time H1B status for the past 2 years. Now I am planning to move to a different city and continue working for the same company Part-Time from home.
I have read that I will have to submit an amended LCA (with reduced # of hrs and pay). I need some more information about amended LCA and H-1.
Is an amended H1-B equivalent to filing a fresh H1-B (submit all documents etc) or just submit amended documents? What exactly do we have to submit for an amended H-1?
Do I have to pay the same fees as regular Full Time H-1 or are the fees waived?
Also, if my part time H-1 is approved and later on I take up a job with a different company would that be considered an H-1 transfer (transfer from part time H-1) or a fresh H-1 ?
If anyone has experience with a part time H-1 filing (not concurrent one) like my case, please do let me know.
