Do PhD students also have to fill out part 6 (proposed employment) of I-140, when applying for NIW?
Thanks

c'mon it's a pretty simple question and no hint?

I was just wondering since NIW is waiving the requirement of a job offer, do you still need to describe what kind of employment you're under? For Ph.D. students it's usually just research assistant, which is obviously low-pay and non-permanent.

You dont need a permanant job offer to apply for NIW. You need not be in the US to apply for it either. Infact anybody on this planet can apply for NIW. Only your qualifications and accomplishments matter. If you have a job offer, it helps your case but does not win it for you.

I am not sure how exactly it works and what you put in the app form. Please consult an attorney. I do know that you dont need to be employed.
