I have made by booking for india on Nov 27 and i have not yet received AP approval yet. Is there any way to expedite the AP process? Is Infopass going to be useful?
Thanks.

If I were you:
Option 1: Hire a lawyer and go by his/her advice
Option 2: Infopass and request an emergency AP if it is justifiable
Option 3: Revalidate my H1-B/H4 while in India and re-enter in H1/H4 status (only valid if un-expired H1/H4 I-797 is in force)

IMO, if the applicant or beneficiary leaves before the AP is approved *and* this is noticed at any time, say while re-entering, the risk is that the entire application is rejected, end to end (it is deemed "abandoned by the applicant" by USCIS) I do not know if there is any corrective remedy if that happens, but why risk it at all ?

i agree with Hariya....i am in similar boat (but i have not booked yet...but i have to travel due to a deadline)....i have to travel but i am waiting for AP....luckily i am still on H1B.......so i will wait till the last moment for AP......else i will use H1B to travel....

Are the tickets refundable?

What if nothing happens by 11/27?

(Have done too many if-then-else in my life)

Thanks

Thank you for all your concerns. Tickets may be refunded for a peanlty but as ALL of you know, the exitement to go back to Desh can not be compared even if i get 100% return on ticket. Everything is plaaned back in Desh and if i cancel my trip at this point then lots of hearts are going ot be broken.
