Parents visit

My in laws plan to visit US next year , around Feb-Mar 2007. Me and my husband both are on H1B.

My husband's H1B (7th year extn) expires in May 2007. (His company will apply for extension in time around Dec '06)

My H1B is valid till 2008.

My question, should we bring my in laws showing my status or my husband's visa status.

Our fear is that since my husband's visa is expiring in May 2007, my in laws may not get visa for the period we want.

Response will be appreciated..Thanks for all your help.

it should not be a problem. the consulate people are aware that you might apply for an extension. If the extension is applied before the interview and you receive the receipt then send it to them

Parents Visa Refusal

My parents US visa has been refused by US-Embassy in Islamabad. The reason was that they have extended their previous stays in the US. My parents got stay-extension from USCIS because of some genuine reasons while they were here. Anyway, could there anything be done from here (USA) because they are old and want to stay with me for sometime and need to see their grandchildren. They are in their late 70s. Should I contact a lawyer? Local Senator/Congressman?
Please advise as its quite important humanitarian/family issue.
