parents visa denied

Hi,

My parents visa got denied today. They didn't give any reason. They just looked at the paper and stamed on the passport i.e. application received and asked them go to home. Infact,same thing happened to 8 to 9 applicants on that day.


If they wanted to apply again how many days they have to wait?

Which consulate did you parents apply to?

This is weird they must have give some reason for rejection. Check your application does it have some sort of code say 214(b)
etc.

In-Laws application rejected twice

My In-Laws application to the Mumbai Consulate for Visitor visa to the US was rejected twice !!!

It seems that almost everyone is getting rejected.

Visa Officer "What is the purpose of your visit to the US ?".
In-Laws responded "We want to visit our daughter and son-in-law".
Visa Officer "I consider you potential immigrants, I can not grant you the visa".

All the docs were sent as per the requirements for sponsorship. The effort to screen visitors now is at an extreme, where as before 11 Sep attacks it was relatively easy to apply.

Can anyone confirm if the mail in application has more chance of success
