Parents Visa denied

My parents went to the US Consulate in Beijing to apply the B2 visa to visit me, but they both got denied. The main reason, we believe, is that I came to US in 93 and never got a chance to go back to see them in the past 9 years.

I came as a student, after getting my graduate degrees, I started to work till now. I am in H1B status which will expire 11/03 (6 full years). I filed my I-485 last month, therefore, I will be in adjustment of status stage soon (I hope).

The question is, should my parents wait to apply again after I get my greencard? When they got denied at the consulate, they did show their strong tie with the home country, e.g. residential property document, bank accounts, employment, etc. I just don't know what else can they present to show their intention to return after the visit. Maybe they can try to apply separately? I already realize that I might have been staying in US for too long without paying a single visit to my home.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
