Hi,

I filed I-140 & I-485 concurrenlty for myself and also filed I-485s for my spouse and my 6-year old child at the same time at TSC. Reciept Dates for all 3 of us are Oct 10, 2003. My I-140 & I-485 and my spouse's I-485 was approved on Sep 30, 2004, status was updated online and also received approval notices through mail. And haven't seen approval for my child nor on online nor received through mail.

When inquired with Customer Service Center, they could not help in any way. They said that if you have applied I-485 for your child using separate application form then Child has to wait for his approval separately. They said that they cannot start enquiry.

All 3 of us got Advance Parole approved on March 10, 2003. This doesn't indicate that child's application was processed at different times than parents. It looks more to me as a negligence case.

Please can somebody throw some light on how to handle this situation. There is no way Customer service can start enquiry. Is there a way that I can write to service center on my own and start enquiry.

Any help will be appreciated greatly.
Thanks,

Don't worry

Don't worry. Your child is minor, he/she will directly get the Welcome Letter and followed by Plastic GC. Also, you don't have to stamp your kids passport.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply.

There is a separate Receipt # for my son as we filed I-485 application form for him as well.

When I use his reciept no to find case status service online, status of his case does not show any approval where as for me and my spouse status has been updated.

I found out from one of my friend's child got a separate approval notice.

Do you think still I have to go with the assumption that since he is minor I don't have to worry about exclusive approval notice for my child.

Thanks,
