My sister who is a citizen applied for greencard for my parents. Everything went well and in May 2007 they had the interview and they both passed. My mother got the letter that allows her to come to US and then file for GC once in US but my father case was held back for name check. They were told everything in complete but they have to do name check? My father is around 65, do they still do name check for that age?

Anyway it has been over 3 months now and I am wondering how can I accelerate the process?

My mother is supposed to be here in US by November otherwise her letter expires. So I am trying to find ways to I can get the name check cleared in time so they can both come together.
Any advise is appreciated.
