Parallel i-130 and B2?!

Hi, this is to settle some confusion regarding my case as follows. I am from Pakistan and my sister, who is a US citizen, filed for my i-130 in September 2015 when I was 23 (unmarried sibling over 21, category F2-B). The process is expected to take around 7years before visas become available and I certainly do not want to wait that long to be able to visit my sister. To be clear, I do not see myself immigrating to the US at the end of seven years anyway. Now for travel plans to the US, is it wiser (and legal?) to apply for a visit visa besides my pending immigration process or to revoke my immigration first and simply apply for a temporary visit? Also, how long does it normally take for an i-130 to be revoked?

That is not F2B. F2B is unmarried over-21 child of US permanent resident. Sibling of US citizen is F4 category.
