Hi all,

My lawyer told me that after they enquired at the local office, my paperwork after the interview and approval went to storage unit instead of the card ordering unit in TSC. so now TSC has to request it retrieved from storage unit to issue cards, anybody has this experience before? anybody knows how long should we wait before we get our plastic?

oh did I miss 'DARN IT!!'

Quite a while back, someone had received intend to deny and then their 'papers' went to storage by mistake. Apparently there is one in minnesota for USCIS (then INS), and it took about 3 months to get it back... Hopefully yours will be quicker...

My Uncle Papers Went To Storage

my uncle had to travel two years on his immigration stamp because his papers were in storage in charlotte NC..... after pulling some treads ,he manged to get his plastic card...(He is 75 years old  )

Hi Ziad2005

My file is at Charlotte-NC. we already requested them retrieved from storage so hopefully they will get it soon. I am not planning to wait 2 years to get my plastic. By the way did your father travel in the middle-east, do they understand there that the stamp is a green card or do u need to explain to the customs or flight security everytime what it means and that you are allowed and authorized to travel to the US?

another question please did it take 2 years for ur dad to get his file retrieved from storage, were these 2 yrs from the date he knew about his papers moved to storage?

thanks,
Spartakus

its my uncle not dad...

well he didnt know till 6 months early...i.e in january... because some big shot (I forgot his name ,,, the spanish guy who got elected as director something wanted all backlogs to go to six months.. and since charlotte office relocated a year ago and he was visiting there.. so what the dum heads did is basically threw all old records cases into the storage... and get a medal for not keeping back logs... What happened next he was impressed with the Charolette Center for the neat work they were doing so efficiently.. that he transferred few of the staff to other centers.. now Charlotte is understaffed.....

My old lawyer

Hi all,

My old lawyer (a friend) thinks that this can not be true and she is saying that the physical file is not necessary for issuing the cards, is that accurate?

Thanks,
Spartakus
