paper review help

Hello everyone.
I'm starting to prepare my GC process using EB1b. I think there is nothing else I can add to my profile except the review experience--judge other people's work.

I have a PhD in physics and have an nonlinear optical materials, spectroscopy, and femtosecond laser applications, supercontinuum background. I have started to send requests for review to editors in optics and laser science field together with my CV. Most of the editors replied back and said they had added me into the reviewer database. However, 6 months have passed and I only got one paper for review from Journal of Optical Society of America. It's too slow to build the review experience.

I am thinking if there is other better way for me to get the review invitations, or if anyone here need someone to review papers in the optics and laser science area. Please let me know if there is anyway to build this review portfolio as soon as possible.

Thanks all for reading,

sunrise

You can ask your past (present) mentors/colleagues to nominate you as a a referee to the editor whenever they are not going to accept an invitation themselves. I had received invitations from a mid-rank journal (IF=2.5) in this way.
