Journey Ends
My case was started from June, 2002 with Labor substitution.
I – 140 ND June 3, 2002.
I filed I – 485 / 765 on Sept 16th 2002.
After a long wait I received REF of I -1 40 on Sept 3rd , 2003. But my company was not helpful I twice filed extension to reply and finally I replied my REF on April 2nd 2004.
From here it stated sad part.
My lawyer was arrested on May 2004 and FBI freezed all cases. So all my files ( 140, 485 ) went into limbo. Lawyer was convicted and sentenced to 6 years prison. I was helpless and confused and hopeless. I contacted to office of senator George Alien, Virginia.
I did not receive anything from USCIS for a year.
All of sudden on Feb 2005, my company received “ Intended to deny/revoke I-140” from USCIS. They were concerned if my application was fraud. Then I replied carefully. On April 4th 2005 ( after almost 3 years) I received my I 140 approved.
Then few days later I received REF on 485 ( Medicals) which I replied on May 47th.
Today I received email from USCIS that my painful journey ends Case Approved on 13th June 2005.
