Citizenship Interview in San Antonio, Texas

enjoylife,

Sorry for the late reply....I have been busy and not checking this board often

We received citizenship interview dates for June 13, 2005 and June 21, 2005. I am combining both our experience and stating in plural though each of us went to our interviews individually on different dates.

Interview was very formal and asked us ten questions from the list of 100 questions only. Asked us to sign the whole name on the photographs and also the Naturalization Certificate. We were asked to read the questions and tell the answers verbally. We were asked to write one sentence in English. We were given a paper stating you have passed English and Civics Exam.

It was just 1/2 hour or so for the whole interview. We waited for 1/2 hour or less before an Immigration Officer came and greeted us both times.

After the whole process, Officer Congratulated us that we have been recommended for approval. We should expect the OATH dates within 30 to 60 days.

By the way the officer is verifying that you were staying at the address and you are eligible to apply N400 from this district office.

For example in my case, I am employed (W2) by an employer who is in Illionois, but being computer consultant my client site is San Antonio, Texas. So that's why Officer asked me that you are working at Illinois and not in San Antonio Texas. I took a letter from my current employer stating that I am working here at San Antonio Texas (Officer needs verification that I stayed minimum 3 months here in San Antonio to establish residency for this DO). Officer made a copy of the letter and it satisfied the requirement.

Good luck with your interview,

Were the questions multiple choice or you had to give the one correct answer to each question?

One of us had multiple choice questions and I had to read the questions loud and answer each question loudly.

That was my reading test along with my civics test.
