packet3 queries..

I just got the packet 3, and I had a couple of questions..

1. Instructions include amending passports to reflect marriage. Is that required? If yes, what is the procedure..

2. Packet 3 did not include DS2001.. Should we include it when we return the packet? or not bother about it?

Download a form from Indian Consulate website and under the Miscelleneous section mention to add your name on your spouse's passport.

Recently they have stopped chaning names on the passport. So if your wife needs a name change on the passport then she might have to apply for a new passport with new name. But if the name change is not an issue then you can have your name on her passport for just a processing fee of $10.

Even I am not sure about DS2001 as even I did not get it my packet 3. But I also noticed that the fees has increased to $335 per person.
