Would you mind sharing your interview experience with me?
i have a similar situation as you..i didn't disclose my dui on my i-751 because i was told by my friend that i didnt have to till court decision (which now i know i should have no matter what, the fact is i was arrested)

Now im about to finish my probation, and i want to apply for naturalization, i will definitely disclose my dui this time, but im really afraid they are gonna deport me when they find out i didnt disclose it on my i-751

May i ask you where you are located? if would be so great if we are at same place(attorney referral) . i know i will need a very experienced attorney to handle my case

Thank you so much if you could answer my Questions

Just disclose it now. Plead ignorance before the fact at the interview. And I suggest you hire a criminal immigration lawyer.- :)

thanks for your suggestion, i definitely will hire an attorney.. just need some referrals. The ones i find in newspapers ad don't look so trustworthy.

I applied through the Tukwilla office in Seattle. The officer was nice but did mention that "you failed to disclose your arrest in I-751" - but moved on. I had an attorney with me so may have helped.

The way it was explained by my attorney - There are two important things:

1. The failure to disclose should be a "material fact" that would have changed the decision on your case.

2. Falsely responding to a question (which you did) - made the officer not check the facts further.

In this case:

1. Failure to disclose one DUI is not material (assuming simple DUI)
2. Even if you did not answer the question correctly, USCIS could have done a background check and found out....

So I think you are OK. BUT, be prepared to explain this as you will be asked. As suggested it is better you have an attorney with you at the interview. If you are in the Seattle area PM me and I will let you know the attorney that worked on my case.

Good luck :)
